FINAL
30 entrants advanced all 6 golfers to the weekend, including the top two and 16 on the Leaderboard (Top 40).
32% of all selections MC'd and received the Adjusted Cut for both weekend rounds. The last 3 Columns had nearly triple the number of MCs as the first 3 Columns. Seems obvious, but those who have followed it know it's not always the case. 3 golfers who made the cut but blew up on the weekend ended up with slightly worse scores than some golfers who MC'd near the cut line.
We have 530 entrants for the 2025 season, up from 504 last year.
Morikawa was the top choice, selected to 44% of all rosters, and the only golfer picked >200x. Five others hit the Century mark, including the two top guys Scheffler and McIlroy, with an unusually high number (25) going All-In with both. The Most Common Duo is Morikawa and Zalatoris, paired 102x.
89 of 95 golfers in field were selected to at least one roster. Lawrence at 15 points was the highest valued SNUB, all the others were <10 points. 4 of 5 amateurs were picked at least once, with only Beck left out. All things considered, Johnson D was perhaps the most disrespected. Posted at a sucker-pick number of 39 points, only 14 entrants took the bait. All 6 SNUBS missed the cut.
The Most Balanced roster is Jerri P, ranging from Straka at 52 to Clark at 47.
The Most Popular roster is cltdeac, with the four top picks and no one picked <79x.
The Class Nerd is The Stranger 4, with no golfer picked >48x.
17 rosters had golfers from six different countries, but none from six different continents.
Australians were popular, with 22 entrants pairing Aussies, including 3 who had a trio. Of course, we have a pocket of entrants who live Down Under. England had 21 pairings. Spain (5), Canada (4), Denmark (3) and Korea (1) also saw pairings.
224 of 530 entrants used all 300 points and all but 9 used at least 290. BigJack left 37 points on the board.
There were 9 All-American rosters and 3 with NO Americans.

He Did It!!
robschneider21 swoops in, steals Masters Pool
For most of the day Sunday it looked like Ziegler was destined to don the Green T-shirt. But just like at Augusta, the Masters Pool took a wild turn. Rory was able to recover, but Ziegler could not overcome a momentous 5-shot swing in the closing moments. Just as Aberg was making a mess in the fairway bunker on 18 leading to triple bogey, Reed was holing out from 170 for eagle on 17, vaulting robschneider21 to the top.
Schneider joined in 2023, part of the growing branch of the GSC tree from my nephew Zeke, who provides the LIVE Scoring.
Ziegler settled for second, while a trio of entrants who had both golfers in the Playoff - McIlroy and Rose - took the next three spots.
Our pre-tourney poll got it right, with 36% correctly predicting Rory would take his place in an elite club of Career Grand Slam winners.
Rory was part of four teams listed below. The Best Possible roster (within budget) would have finished -50, 21 shots better than our winning score. It was a good tournament for the Big Guns, as the six highest valued golfers would have posted a winning score of -36 (if allowed an unlimited budget). We made a couple mistakes with the Most Popular picks, though and that over-budget team would not have even been Top 100. The 6-Continent team would have squeaked out a narrow one-shot win, and under budget. There were only 6 SNUBS total, so whether sorted by value or score it's the same team and none of them made the weekend and would have finished DFL by a long shot.
A couple former champs - Johnson Z and Watson - were among the most pleasant surprises, along with McCarty M, delivering under par scores for great value to the few entrants smart enough to pick them.
No one was a worse pick than Dunlap, who opened with a 90, but he was only picked by 4 entrants. The biggest DUDS were Zalatoris and MacIntyre, considering the amount of damage they caused to a great number of rosters.
