PLAYOFFS

At the conclusion of the Majors season the GSC Cup winner is crowned, but the Top 150 entrants advance to the PLAYOFFS. The field starts at 150 for the first event FedEx St. Jude, but gets chopped to 90 for the BMW and then 40 for the Tour Championship, aka Pool Championship. This mimics the way the PGA reduces the field each week during the Playoffs. Scores are carried over from the Cup season, but once in the Playoffs scores are doubled so making up ground is a definite possibility. The whole idea of the Playoffs is to give entrants a realistic goal in the age of 500+ entrants and this format is designed to keep everyone thinking like this ...

Your ultimate GSC goal should be to reach the Pool Championship. At this point winning a Major is a bonus.
